Caring for your jewellery

Gold-filled & sterling silver care guide: 

Gold-filled and sterling silver jewellery is very durable and, even with daily wear, can last you 10+ years (or more) if well looked after:

• Although gold-filled and sterling silver pieces are water resistant, we suggest not wearing your hoops in water as it can stay inside the tube of the hoop if not tipped upside down to remove. If you forget, it's no big deal, but as a rule of thumb, remove for showers and swimming. 
• We suggest removing charms, if possible when storing to prevent the metal bending. 
• Always put your jewellery on after you've done your hair and makeup - the chemicals in your products can be rough on the metal. 
• Gently wipe down with your Maria Maria jewellery cloth (no buffing) occasionally, and if needed, gently clean with water and soap, rinse and dry well. 
• Always keep in your cotton pouch - jewellery likes to be kept away from air and moisture.
